Maintenance 2007 - Day 6

I call this the "Valley of the Carbs". Looks much better once it's cleaned up.		The rusty things sticking up are vacuum ports.	Bottom center is one of the elbows that have failed on some older ST1100s.
With the tank out, you can see the transmission and alternator below.	New coolant hoses attached to the elbows.	Another eblow-like metal tube on the lower left has a small port on top to which the small grey coolant line is attached.	This is the other end of that elbow-like tube.
This is how I held the bike up...just this and the centerstand.
The cover on left (white line) must be removed for access, with the bolts (white dots) on the right.		And here it's off.
The '91 SSMST has the oil cooler between the filter and pan.	This shows the coolant lines a bit better.	And this is the other ends of those lines.	Here they're removed.
This (if I can remember correctly) is the block coolant drain point.	Getting my wrench on it.	The wrench head.
